Here is a great deal (IMO):

Its the ExoPC !

I have been researching Windows based tablets for awhile and I had decided on an Acer Iconia W500, but I could not find a decent price The Acer retails for about $500 and I that was still too much for me to pay. I did find a good deal on the Acer for $369, but it was refurbished and I wasn’t so sure I wanted to go that route. But then I came across this deal at the Microsoft Store for the ExoPC and it is a $699 Tablet for only $399, which is close to the price of that refurbished Acer tablet, but brand new and better IMO. Why ?

To be fair, the Acer has a slightly faster CPU than the ExoPC, two web cams (compared to 1), better battery life and the keyboard docking station included.

If you are interested in the Acer for a low price check this out:

The ExoPC though is new, not refurbished and the price is right. You get 90 days of Microsoft supported added in (since it is a Signature series PC), aside from the manufacture warranty. The three big features that sold me though are:

11.6 inch display (compared to Acers 10.1 inch). The resolution is better too at 1366 x 768, which IMO is becoming a new standard for Tablets (the tablet at Microsoft build had this resolution).

64 GB SSD (Acer only has a 32 GB)

ExoPC UI. This UI is a front end for the Tablet which makes it much easier to work with and it appears to be quite fast from what I have read (not bloated).

Some other pluses are:  Broadcom Crystal HD chip which plays 1080p video very well. Also the ExoPC web site has a very nice online forum which is a great resource of information about the Tablet. They seem committed to customer support and this forum appears to be an indication of that. I like this kind of resource.

So if you are looking for a nice Windows Tablet PC for a great price, then check out the ExoPC.

Note: I just ordered mine recently and once I get it I will post my views of it in this blog. I don’t expect to get it for another week.
