EZGUI 5.0 SLL Development Forum needs select group of users for beta testing.

Trying to make an SLL version of EZGUI 5.0 will be a daunting task to say the least. It is not simply a matter of recompiling the code, but changes will have to be made in the runtime.

I will be starting a new private forum, which will be accessable to a select group of EZGUI 5.0 users, to discuss and beta test an SLL version of EZGUI. There will be no software to test initially, but we can discuss the problems and possible solutions to an SLL version (ie. what about the controls which are not in the main runtime ?). Hopefully in short order I can get a beta version of an SLL ready for download so you can test it. It will be a work in progress so don't expect too much initially, but it would be well worth it to start this project now to see what I can come up with.

I successfully created a SLL version of the main EZGUI 5.0 runtime today and it works pretty well. Still some issues to work out and need to port over the secondary DLL's too, but it looks good. From what I can see from my tests today, I don't see any reason why I won't be able to have a SLL version of EZGUI 5.0 before long.

The SLL version is planned for the 5.1 update I am working on, so all 5.0 users will get it for free.


The 5.1 update will also have a number of changes in the designer too, specific to using it with Powerbasic 10.
